Karl V Sitz, M.D.Mindy Demarco, RN,BSN, CCRPMichelle Gray, LPN, CCRP

Karl V. Sitz, M.D., specializes in the treatment of adolescent and adult allergic conditions and asthma.  After receiving his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences he completed a three-year residency in internal medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the Little Rock Veterans Administration Hospital. He practiced one year of general internal medicine in the U.S. Army before completing a two-year fellowship in allergy and immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  Following the completion of his allergy and immunology training, Dr. Sitz spent an additional four years in the U.S. Army pursuing vaccine research.  He then joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and co-director of the Sinus and Allergy Clinic.  He joined the Little Rock Allergy & Asthma Clinic in May 2000.

Dr. Sitz is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, with an added qualification in clinical and laboratory immunology, and the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the Allergy Society of Arkansas.


Mindy DeMarco RN, BSN, CCRP, is a registered nurse specializing in clinical research. After graduating from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, she was the Coronary Care Unit Charge Nurse at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System for three years. She spent five years as a Clinical Research Coordinator/Clinical Research Manager for the Divisions of Cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System where she coordinated over 60 clinical trials. She joined Little Rock Allergy & Asthma Clinical Research Center in July 2000. Mindy is certified through the Society of Clinical Research Associates and is a member of the American Heart Association Cardiovascular Nursing Council. She also teaches in the Little Rock City Wide Critical Care Course.


Michelle Gray, LPN, CCRP, is a licensed practical nurse specializing in allergy & asthma clinical research. After obtaining her nursing education in 1990 from Baptist System School of Nursing, Michelle held a position briefly at Baptist Medical Center in the Cardiac Care Unit. She then worked in two local pediatric clinics before coming to Little Rock Allergy & Asthma Clinic in 1994. Michelle was a clinical nurse until 1999 when she became the laboratory assistant in the extract room. Her position there included working towards her certification with the AAAA&I as a network certified pollen counter. She joined Little Rock Allergy & Asthma Clinical Research Center in April 2001.
